Studio Bovti

(Stuttgart, Germany)
Studio Bovti
Studio Bovti was founded by Inna Strokous and Marius Schwald with a vision to merge traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. The studio creates functional art objects that carry rich narrative layers, where every piece is a fusion of material, form, and emotion — a seamless balance between artistic expression and practical function. At Studio Bovti, design is not an end in itself; it is a medium for storytelling, with each object unfolding a unique narrative within the spaces it inhabits. A hallmark of Studio Bovti’s philosophy is the founders’ direct involvement in the production process. Inna and Marius are not just designers but craftsmen, engaging hands-on with the materials and techniques that shape their work. This deep, tactile connection imbues each object with a distinct identity, deliberately distancing it from mass production. Their experimental approach — exploring natural stone, ceramics, recycled paper, and more — continually pushes the boundaries between design and art. Drawing on their rich backgrounds in architecture and interior design, Strokous and Schwald bring a sophisticated and expressive design language to the studio. Originally from Ukraine, Inna Strokous honed her keen sensitivity to materiality, form, and contrast through her work as an interior designer and creative director at renowned German studios. Her aesthetic is marked by bold contrasts, intricate detailing, and an intuitive understanding of materials. Marius Schwald, trained in interior architecture, cultivated a passion for craftsmanship and fabrication early in his career. After years managing projects at leading interior design firms, he founded Studio Bovti as a platform to fully explore experimental design and material innovation. Together, Inna and Marius channel their combined experience into creating objects that are not just beautiful or functional, but deeply narrative — a natural evolution of their work in spatial design into the realm of collectible art.
